Saathvik, Center for Autism was started in the year 2017 with the aim of training and educating Children with Autism in and around pollachi and coimbatore rural areas. autism is a neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech and nonverbal communication. one in every 59 children today are diagonized with Autism .Poor economical background, Lack of awareness and non-availability of government assistance for these children find them mostly stuck with their inability to thrieve in our society. It is for us to understand that they could very well be a great part of our society and can never be a burden to a family if the necessary training was imparted in time.
This being a project that we have volunteered to take up in the best interest of the children from rural areas, it needs support from all sides to ensure that these children get the best of the available training facilities.
This project provides ABA therapy as the Main intervention. ABA is an evidence based and scientifically proven therapy for Autism. ABA is an expensive therapy throughout the world. Saathvik was started with the intention that “no child should be deprived of efficient training just because their parents are unable to afford”. Saathivk also focuses on data collection that will help us in monitoring the development of each child trained under this program.
